Who We Are
The Baptist Student Fellowship is an officially recognized student group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
BSF is an interdenominational Christian group of students started by baptists long ago. We are dedicated to providing fellowship, support, and food (physical & spiritual!) for our members to grow in knowing Jesus Christ.
We are a place for undergrads, graduate students, or others studying at MIT to encounter God, discuss the Bible, grow in faith with one another and to help connect with local churches.
BSF is a student run organization with support from the Baptist Chaplain and staff.
What We Do
Refuge
Refuge is the main gathering of the Baptist Student Fellowship. It is a chance to get away from the stress of MIT and eat a meal together, worship, pray, and have a teaching from the Bible.
Refuge is open to all members of the MIT community.
Bible Studies
Bible studies are an opportunity to dig deeper into God’s word together with other students. They are a time of learning from the truth of scripture while also getting closer to one another.
Multiple studies happen at different times throughout the week.
International Students
Moving from another country to Boston can be very difficult. We want to help! We offer free conversational English classes, Bible studies as well as opportunities to talk with Americans and others from around the world.
We would be excited to meet you!

Annual Events
Fusion – New England Students Conference
We join similar Christian groups from around New England for a weekend at a conference center on Cape Cod. This event falls each year during the last weekend of October.
International Student Thanksgiving Dinner
This is a chance every November to share what we are thankful for with students from all across the globe here at MIT.
Operation Christmas Child Packing Party
OCC is a program of Samaritan's Purse where shoe boxes are filled with toys and then sent to children around the world for Christmas. Every year we organize a collection and host a packing party to assemble these show box gifts.
Cultivate – New England Students Retreat
As winter turns to spring we go to New Hampshire for a weekend retreat with other schools from New England. There are main sessions, different tracts to explore the things of God, and lots of time for fun.
